Mosaic Table of Travels

This large mosaic table was a special request for a birthday gift. The client wanted a piece that would represent the locales of many happy traveling adventures including Spain, Indonesia, Hawaii, Peru and San Francisco. The table also features the Chicago skyline, old-tyme bicycles and a small replica of a Frida Kahlo painting.

Mosaics:  Glazed talavera and ceramic tiles

Grout Color:  Custom mixes, five different colors

Dimensions:  48 inch diameter X 32 inches tall with base.

Weight:  Top- Approximately 80 Pounds, Base Shown- Approximately 80 Pounds.

Construction:  1 1/2 inch thick fully laminated exterior rated plywood sheeting.

Special Coatings:  3 layers of ANSI approved exterior wood glue on all surfaces before mosaics were applied; commercial grade epoxy surface and extra grout sealant on the sides.
